Millet will provide the Austrian Olympic team for the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang (Kor) in February 2018 with products of the category thermal clothing (including winter parkas, ski suits, ski pants, various mid-layers, multifunctional jackets and neck warmers). The AOC Olympic outfit will be defined and ordered in the next few days. The delivery will take place at the end of the year. The Austrian Olympic Committee is expecting 105 to 115 athletes and a coaching team of approximately 100 people.
The cooperation agreement also includes the European Youth Olympic Festival in Sarajevo in February 2019 and the Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne in January 2020.
said AOC Secretary-General Peter Mennel when signing the contract.
“Anyone who constantly goes to extremes like freeriders or mountaineers and climbers do must be able to rely on the material one hundred percent. The same is true for our Olympic team: whoever wants to win medals has to be brilliantly equipped and outfitted,“ said AOC President Karl Stoss.
"The Olympic Team Austria is undoubtedly one of the best and most successful teams of winter sports in the world. Best team, best products, perfect match.”, so Fréderic Fages, Brand Manager at Millet.
“Millet products have been at the highest summits in the world over the past few decades and are being tested uncompromisingly every day by our brand ambassadors. We are proud to support the Austrian team in the coming years with our products and to provide athletes with the best material to be perfectly equipped in the hunt for the Olympic medals,“ said Thorsten Walter, Sales Manager DACH.
