MILLET AND LOW IMPACT™

For many years, Millet's LOW IMPACT™ standard has been a way for the company to raise awareness of eco-designed products among mountain sports people.

To do this, we use a single standard for all our products-apparel, backpacks, sleeping bags and footwear. The standard is awarded to those products with the lowest environmental impact, and is based on two essential eco-design criteria:
- The use of low-impact materials (recycled, organic, Ecoya, Ariaprene®, Sorona®, hemp, tencel, linen, certified wool, RDS down, etc.)
- Certifications (BLUSIGN®, OEKO-TEX®, GOTS...)
We consider that all other product life-cycle parameters (manufacturing plans, transport, packaging, end-of-life use) are an essential foundation for our corporate responsibility. And this foundation is continually tracked, optimized and improved.
