A new look for the MILLET icons, made from responsible fibres.BUY
Since 1921, MILLET has accompanied those who paved the way in mountaineering. Proud of our heritage, we revisit our signature products through an eco-friendly collection to be worn at the foot of climbing routes as well as in everyday life. With its French design and the brand’s 100 years of expertise in quality and functionality, these garments are designed for people who want to wear MILLET in the city as well as in the mountains.
Technical warmth and vintage spirit.
MILLET began by designing backpacks, such as the one used by Louis Lachenal for his first ascent to the top of Annapurna at 8,000 meters. Later, the company equipped mountaineers such as Reinhold Messner, Christophe Profit, Éric Escoffier or Patrick Edlinger with the first technical textiles.
In the ’80s, an innovation that was lighter, more breathable, resistant and dries faster than the traditional wool sweater was proposed by the American manufacturer Malden Mills: the fleece. Widely adopted by mountaineers and climbers to protect themselves from the cold in high altitudes, it is still used by MILLET in its collections today.
In this HERITAGE collection, MILLET collaborates with Polartec®, leader in technical fleeces, to offer thick and incredibly warm sherpa fleeces made of recycled fibres. Their style is inspired by the original models with generous cuts and an original color palette, while their performance meets today’s expectations.
