Chamonix has always been one of the most iconic places for mountaineering in the world. The first legendary ascent of Mont Blanc, on 8th of August 1786, is considered as the birth date of mountaineering.

Created in 1821, the Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix Mont Blanc is the oldest guide company in the world and has the largest by number of members. With more than 270 members registered, the Chamonix mountain guides represent close and strong partners for Millet. Besides the products they use daily, the guides are also active in our product development process, using the Mont Blanc as a laboratory field to test our latest innovations.
