A SKI TRIP between Italy and Switzerland

Here is a nice ski trip that enables you to discover Cervin and Mt Rose’s areas; This can be done with a small group of friends or experienced customers without having to cope with very committed slopes:
 

 
D1: Zermatt - Petit Cervin 3817 m - (Breithorn 4164 m) - Ferraro refuge 2066 m

Starting from Zermatt at 8 o’clock. Ascent with the Petit Cervin cabin, 3 817m.

Depending on the weather, you can ascent the Breithorn, 4164 m. Ski down the glacier of Vera while going under Pollux and Castor. Then go down the Val d’Ayas. Cross towards Walser de Résy’s hamlet where the Ferraro refuge (2606m) is located, one of the nicest refuge in the area!


+100-500 m -1800-2200 m. In between 5 to 7 hours. Then we spent the night in the Ferraro refuge, 2066 m.

 

 

D2 : Bettaforca’s pass 2672 m - Bettolina 2905 m - Stafal 1840 m - Mantova Refuge 3455 m

 

 

 

 

Ascend to Bettolina’s pass (touring skins or cabin) and ski down to Gressoney (Stafal). Go up with the cabin, then cabin again to Indren (3280m) and ski down to the refuge of Mantova.

+1100 m -1100 m. 6 to 7 hours. We spent the night in the Citta di mantova refuge, 3455 m

 

 

 

 

 

D3 : Gnifetti or Zumstein (4563 m) - Grenzgletscher - Zermatt 1600 m

Go up the Lys’ pass 4255m, Swiss-Italian borden, then head to Punta Gnifetti or Signalkuppe, 4554m where is incredible glacier skiing: The Grenz glacier, until Mt Rose shack, 2883m, then until Zermatt through Gorner’s glacier.

Then you can take the lifts in Zermatt (Furi) to go up; and spend the night in Rifugio del Guido del Cervinio.

 +700-1000 m -2700-3000 m

 

 

D4 : Starting from the Rifugio Guido del Cervinio (Testa Grigia 3479m)

then do the ascending crossing, followed by highlands until Roccia Nera, Schawarxtor’s pass and descending the Schwarxegletscher from 3817m to Zermatt 1600m.

+600 m -2700-3000 m

 

Here is a nice lap that includes the two nicest slopes of the area !
