“If at first you don't succeed, try, try again”!
W. E. Hickson
Since I was a little boy, I have loved to go into the mountains with my parents and explore more and more new summits. I grew up in Berchtesgaden, a little village in the Southeast of Germany. At the age of three, I have already stood on skis, so it wasn't unpredictable that I would take part in a competition later on. As a ski-mountaineering athlete, my goal/dream is to compete with the best among the world anytime. At the moment, this goal/dream is still far away, but nothing is impossible.
Few words that define you as an athlete?
Ambitious, motivated, passionate & I am a perfectionist

Few words that define you as a person?
I am living my life the fullest, in the way I imagine.

What are your passions besides skiing/climbing/mountaineering/trail running?
I like to cook & bake and of course I love photography. Furthermore, I am a member of the society for traditional customs.

Your best and worst memory in the mountains?
There are lots of perfect moments ... but climbing through the Watzmann East Face with two good friends was maybe one of the best mountain moments in my life so far because I have wanted to do this for a long time—a childhood dream came true. On the other side, I think every single moment in the mountains is a best one because it’s a privilege and we should appreciate that we get to go outside and live our dream. Luckily, I haven't had a really bad day in the mountains so far.

Why do you feel part of the Millet family?
I just got into the Millet family, but in my opinion, I am more than equipped with a brand who cares about the environment. The environment plays a big roll nowadays and therefore I think Millet is perfect for me as an athlete who loves to go into the mountains.

What does it mean for you, "Rise Up"?
“Rise Up” means to me that you should always give your best and work hard on what you want to achieve because anytime you stand on top of a mountain people will look up to you. Never stop dreaming!

Why do you advise people to go out in the mountains to do outdoor activities?
I think people who get in contact with nature and our mountains see the life from a totally different perspective, our nature shows us the beautiful tiny moments in life but also big problems like climate change and the impact this has on us. Furthermore, it’s a thousand times better than on social media. Go out and see the beauty and power of nature.

Main achievements and future projects:
Since 2018, I have been a member of the German Ski Mountaineering Team. Last year, I had some good results in the Junior World Cup and the German Champs. Some Top 15 placements in the world cup junior circuit and the German vice-title in the individual category.

In the future, I want to achieve Top 10 results in the junior world cup and take part in several team competitions like the Pierra Menta, Mezzalama or PDG.
