First name: Lorenz
DATE OF BIRTH: 13/11/1979
Every face of the year offers other breath-taking possibilities. I love all different aspects of mountaineering, therefore I see myself as a “Jack of all trades”.
Few words which describe you as person:
I’ve been accused of being hard headed and unforgiving. I don’t know why and I’m not sure if that’s true :)
Which are your passions, after skiing/climbing/ mountaineering?
I love to spend time with the family and a close circle of friends, read, cook and listen to music. Spending time around or in the ocean.
Your best moment on the mountains:
One that will be with me forever is the first bivouac in the Torre Valley, Patagonia. After our first successful climb in the area (Aguja St.Exupéry), we were laying under the Patagonian sky, watching a million stars with the silhouette of Cerro Torre to the right and the Fitz roy to our left…
…and your worst?
The hardest moments are obviously when loss or severe injuries of close friends occur.
Why do you feel part of the Millet team?
Millet is all about mountains and alpinism! Being part of this dynamic team is fantastic, as there’s a lot of emphasis on the exchange between athletes and the product managers.
What does it mean, for you, to Rise Up?
Rise Up, growing as a person with every dream, new idea, project and goal: may it be in failure or success.
Why do you suggest people to go for outdoor and mountain activities?
Mountains are honest teachers. If we are willing to listen, they sharpen our intuition, and offer us the possibility to learn a lot about ourselves.

Anything that involves good friends, wild nature, stories, sleeping bags, laughter, a rack of cams and nuts and campfires, definitely campfires.
